Elle Smith
Rewire. Regulate. Restore.
Welcome to my mind-body hypnotherapy, somatic healing, and mindset coaching practice rooted in nervous system regulation and subconscious healing. Using hypnosis and somatic techniques, I help clients address patterns held beneath conscious awareness, supporting emotional regulation, clarity, and long-term well-being from the inside out.

What Is Hypnosis & Somatic Healing?
Hypnosis is a focused, relaxed state that allows access to the subconscious mind—where habits, emotional patterns, and automatic responses are formed. Somatic healing works with the body and nervous system to gently release stored stress and restore regulation. Together, these approaches support deep, lasting change by addressing both the mental and physical roots of emotional patterns.
Contrary to common misconceptions, hypnosis is not mind control or unconsciousness. You remain aware, in control, and able to communicate throughout the session. Hypnosis simply allows the mind to become more receptive and focused, making it easier to work with patterns that are often difficult to access through talk-based approaches alone.
This work is gentle, collaborative, and paced to your nervous system. Rather than forcing change or reliving past experiences, sessions focus on creating safety and regulation first—allowing healing to unfold in a way that feels supportive and sustainable for your system.

Frequently Asked Questions
We know that trying something new—especially hypnotherapy or somatic healing—can bring up questions, curiosity, or even a little nervousness. That’s completely normal!
Whether you’re exploring healing for emotional blocks, stress, trauma, or spiritual growth, this FAQ is here to give you clarity, ease your concerns, and help you feel confident about your experience.
I work with people of all faiths, genders, sexual orientations, and backgrounds, and I tailor every session to your beliefs, comfort, and goals. Take a look below to find answers to some of the most common questions I get about hypnotherapy, somatic healing, and the process of transformation.
How effective is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is highly effective—studies show it can be up to 93% effective for many issues, including anxiety, habits, trauma, and mindset shifts. Compared to traditional therapy or seeing a psychologist, clients often notice results faster and typically require fewer sessions. While everyone’s experience is unique, many clients report lasting changes after just a handful of sessions.
FAQs
1. What is hypnotherapy and how does it work?
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses guided relaxation, focused attention, and visualization to access your subconscious mind. It helps uncover and shift limiting beliefs, emotional blocks, and patterns that may be holding you back. You remain fully aware and in control throughout the session.
2. Will I lose control or do something against my will during hypnosis?
No. Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation and focused attention, but you are always in control. You cannot be made to do anything that goes against your values or beliefs. Think of it as a focused, meditative state that helps your mind work more effectively.
3. I’m worried I’ll fall asleep or won’t wake up. Is hypnosis safe?
Yes. Hypnosis is completely safe and natural. You may feel deeply relaxed, and some people do drift into a light sleep-like state, but you will wake up easily and fully aware.
4. I’m skeptical. Will this really work for me?
Hypnotherapy works differently for everyone, and results depend on your goals, openness, and willingness to participate. Many clients notice shifts immediately, while for others, changes occur gradually. We’ll tailor the session to your unique needs.
5. What kinds of issues can hypnotherapy help with?
Hypnotherapy is effective for a wide range of challenges, including:
-
Anxiety, fear, and stress
-
Confidence and self-esteem
-
Limiting beliefs and mindset blocks
-
Habit change (e.g., quitting smoking, emotional eating)
-
Trauma and emotional healing
-
Spiritual alignment and personal growth
-
Weight Loss, sugar addiction & emotional eating
-
Entrepreneurship, money mindset, client resistance
6. What is somatic healing and how is it different from hypnosis?
Somatic healing is a body-focused approach that helps release tension, stress, trauma, and stored emotions. Unlike traditional talk therapy, somatic healing works directly with physical sensations, breath, and energy in the body to support lasting emotional and mental shifts.
7. Do I have to be religious or Christian to work with you?
Not at all! While I offer Christian-based sessions and perspectives for those who resonate with them, I work with people of all faiths, genders, sexual orientations, and spiritual backgrounds. Sessions are always tailored to your beliefs, comfort, and goals.
8. Is hypnotherapy spiritual or “woo-woo”?
Hypnotherapy is a science-backed therapeutic tool, not a religious ritual. While I integrate mindfulness, visualization, and optional Christian perspectives for those who choose it, the sessions are grounded in psychology and mind-body principles.
9. How long is a typical session?
Sessions usually last 60 minutes, allowing enough time for discussion, hypnosis or somatic work, and debriefing afterward.
10. What should I expect during a session?
You’ll start with a conversation about your goals and concerns. During hypnotherapy, I’ll guide you into a relaxed state and work on subconscious patterns. For somatic sessions, we’ll focus on body awareness, breath, and gentle movements to release tension. Most clients leave feeling relaxed, empowered, and lighter.
11. Can hypnotherapy or somatic healing be harmful?
Both are safe when facilitated by a trained professional. Occasionally, clients may feel strong emotions during or after a session, which is normal and part of the healing process. I provide support and guidance to navigate these experiences safely.
12. How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your goals. Some people notice significant changes in one session, while others benefit from multiple sessions for deeper, lasting transformation. We’ll create a plan that fits your needs.
13. Can I combine hypnotherapy with other therapies or medical treatment?
Yes. Hypnotherapy and somatic healing can complement other therapeutic approaches, coaching, or medical care. They are safe to use alongside most treatments, but always inform your healthcare provider if you have medical concerns.
14. Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! All sessions are online via secure audio conferencing, making it easy to access healing from wherever you are.
15. I’m nervous about trying hypnotherapy. What if I can’t relax?
It’s normal to feel nervous. I will guide you gently, step by step, and adapt the session to your comfort level. Most clients relax deeply once they understand the process and feel safe.
